Some delegates' comments about the EACC 2007:

The 3rd EACC, which took place from 5-6 July 2007 in Frankfurt/Germany, registered another notable increase in number of visitors and exhibitors. Around 60 impressive and high profile presentations from all around the world - from America to Japan, from Brazil to Sweden – showed innovative automotive applications and reported on the advances of CFD technology. Have a look at the extensive program to get a feeling of the wide range of applications that was being covered. A picture gallery can be viewed here.
As in previous years, ANSYS partners seized the opportunity to present their products and services to an interested audience. In total 28 companies supported the EACC and complemented the ANSYS and CADFEM demo points with their offerings.
Gianluca Iaccarino from the Stanford University received the Best Paper Award sponsored by AMD, for his paper about “The Immersed Boundary Approach”. The Best Animation Award , sponsored by Genias Graphics, went this year to Adam Opel GmbH and VRT-Speedbike for their animation about flow around and inside a speedbike.
Both, the presentation about the novel method and the speedbike animation, are included on the conference CD, which contains in addition all the papers of the printed conference proceedings and other presentations as well as a picture gallery. The conference CD and the printed book can be purchased using a fax form available on the internet.. In addition to the printed proceedings, the CD also features the best animation movie, a photo gallery and some presentations and posters that could not be included in the book.
ANSYS is the driving force behind both the EACC and the development of fully integrated CAE. Its takeover of Fluent back in May 2006, previously the world’s largest CFD provider, allied with its ANSYS CFX CFD software, placed the company at the very leading edge of CFD development. Together with the Workbench concept, which allows for speeding up the design process and increasing the ease of performing simulations such as Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI), which require both CFD and FEA technologies, this opens interesting perspectives for the next EACC to come in 2009!

Some delegates' comments about the EACC 2005:

The second EACC almost doubled in size in 2005 in Frankfurt/Germany with a total of 300 delegates and third party partners from 20 countries attending.
Delegates from all over the world plus press representatives from Europe's most influential automotive publications took advantage of the high quality Agenda and interviewed keynote speakers at an EACC Press Conference.
A large exhibition space in Frankfurt with 26 Exhibitors showcased latest CAE technologies and how exhibitor products interact with Fluent products and services.
The value of the conference to attendees was clear in the after-show feedback. 90% of the attendees agreed that the event met the major objectives very well or extremely well.
Werner Seibert, Global Automotive Segment Manager at Fluent, explained why the event was so successful: "The list of companies presenting at the EACC this year was of the highest order: Bosch, Ducati, Honda, Hyundai, Rieter, Skoda, Valeo Engine Cooling, Visteon and Volvo, to mention just a few. The EACC offered a unique opportunity for CFD delegates to meet influential people from the automotive and related areas, to share ideas and discuss the use of the software. The feedback we've had from attendees reflects this - it's been extremely positive."

We look forward to meeting you in July 2007 in Frankfurt / Germany!

Some delegates' comments after the EACC in 2003:

The first EACC in June 2003 at Bingen, Germany, was considered to be very successful. Based on questionnaire feedback from the attendees over 90% rated the EACC as “very good” or “good”.
Around 200 delegates and third party partners from all over the world took advantage of the high quality EACC technical Agenda.
All the Papers were published on a Conference CD and in a 250 page Conference Proceedings Book.
The Conference CD includes the winning movie from the Animation Contest in full length (approx. 3 minutes) submitted by our client, Advantage CFD, in the UK.
In addition, the accompanying exhibition (List of Exhibitors & Sponsors), showcased latest CAE technologies and how exhibitor products interact with Fluent’s products. The exchange of ideas, expertise and information amongst the delegates and with Exhibitors was considered of high value, too.
The evening social event, a Rhine River cruise, rounded off the first day and was therefore very much appreciated as a communication and networking platform in a picturesque surrounding.
